Water Aid is a
UK based international NGO which has been working in Ethiopia since
1983. It established an office in Addis Ababa in 1991 and three
sub-offices in 2004, 2005 and 2007 in Beneshangul,, Oromia and SNNP
Regions respectively. Water Aid Ethiopia supports a number of strong
longstanding local NGO partners while also working closely with
local and national government as well as a wide range of
stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector. In Ethiopia it is
estimated that over 750,000 people have benefited from Water Aid
financed projects in six regions. The major government partners are
Regional Water and Health Bureau Whereas Water Action, Ethiopian
Orthodox Church Development Commission (EOC-DICAC), Hope 2020,
Organization for Rehabilitation and Development in Amhara (ORDA) and
ZemaSef are among others NGO partners.
Water Aid Ethiopia is now implementing Water Supply, Sanitation and
Hygiene Promotion Project in Tena Woreda of Arssi Zone Oromia
Region. 1, WaterAid Ethiopia (WAE) invites completent and qualified
bidders for the supply of the following goods for its community
based Ticho Water Supply Project.

1. Bids
must be accompanied with renewed relevant license for 2000 E.C (2007
G.C.) and include VAT Registration Certificate.
2. Bids
must be delivered to WAE’s Office RECEPTIONIST on or before
Friday 25 January 2008 until 10:30 A.M. local time and must be
accompanied by a bid bond amounting to two (25%) of the offer in the
form of bank guarantee or CPO.
3. Bids
must state the availability of the listed items in the stock and
period of supply if not available in the stock.

WaterAid Ethiopia has a privilege of duty free. Thus, bidders
must submit two options, one bid for duty and the other for duty
paid.
5. Bids
will be opened in eh presence of bidders or representatives who
prefer to attend at the above office on Friday 25 January 2008 at
10:30 A.M. local time at the same address.
6. WaterAId
Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
