Call for Consultancy Professional for
Training on
Geographical Information System (GIS) & Statistical
Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)
Mekelle
University is looking for a consultant/team of consultants for the
provision of training for Academic Staff of Mekelle University,
Department of Geography & Environmental Studies. The training will
be conducted at Mekelle University, Main campus.
The consultancy
will focus on practice based training of Geographic Information
System and database management system (using SPSS).
Personal
specification
In-depth knowledge in the utilization
of GIS software, SPSS software and tolls like plotter, digitizer and
scanner and profound practices in conduction training in the
specified fields.
The consultant firm is expected to
have access to ARCGIS 9,X, ARCVIEW 3.3, ARC/INFO, Map Source, and
SPSS 12 version software packages for the training.
The consultant is expected to prepare
training materials and/or manuals.
The university will only provide
computer lab facilities, digitizer, plotter, printer and scanner to
conduct the training.
The consultant will be responsible
for any government taxes.
The consultant should have renewed
trade license for 1999 or 2000, consultant registration certificate
and VAT.
All bidder must be accompanied by
3,000.00 Ethiopian Birr bid bond.
Bid document (TOR) can be obtained
from Mekelle University office No. 14 during office hours upon
payment of a non-refundable Birr 30.00.
Closing time for submission of bid
will be at the 30th day to be counted from the first
appearance of the tender announcement and it will be closed at 9:30
A.M. and opened at the next working day, the bid will be closed an
opened at the next working day of aforementioned time.
The University reserves the right to
reject or accept any or all bids.
