Description

1.      The International Rescue Committee, an international non-government organization now invites sealed bids from qualified contractors of Gc-6 and above for the construction of Wendogenet (Kella) (LOT-I) & Titicha (LOT-II) Community Water Supply System structures found in Wendogenet and Hula Woredas respectively, Sidama Zone, South Nations & Nationalities Regional State.

2.      The Tender Documents, including the Tender Guidelines, Bill of Quantities, Specification, Drawings and Contract Template, for the aforementioned activity can be purchased upon payment of 100 (One Hundred) Birr, non-refundable, from the International Rescue Committee office (Both Addis Ababa office & Awassa Filed Office) during working hours from 15^th January 2008 until 28^th January 2008 (morning) inclusive. The International Rescue Committee Office in Addis Ababa is located on the 6^th floor of the TK International building, near Bole Airport, Bole Road, Addis Ababa; Tel. (011) 663 67 35 Or 663 67 36 Or 663 67 37; and The International Rescue Committee Filed Office in Awassa is located near ‘Amora Gedel’, Awassa town, Tel. (046)-221 45 15 Or 221 45 13.

3.      One copy of bid, in separate envelopes marked ‘Original’ and ‘Copy’, should be submitted in a sealed covered envelope at the office of the International Rescue Committee-Awassa Filed Office by not later than 2:00 P.M. Friday 25^th January 2008. All bids should include the aforementioned Tender Documents and be accompanied by the firm profile, past performance record on similar works and other relevant credentials, as well as a bid security in the from of a Bank guarantee for 1% (one percent) of the bid amount.

4.      Bids will be opened in the presence of BIDDER’s or their representatives who choose to attend at 3:00 P.M. Friday 25^th January 2008 at the conference Hall of IRC-Awassa File Office, located near ‘Amora Gedel’; Awassa town (address as in clause 2 above).

5.      Bidders can bid for one lot or both lots.

6.      The International Rescue Committee reserves the right to reject the whole or part of any or all bids.
