Invitation to Bid 3^rd Call

To: All contractors of Category GC/BC class 5 & above with valid license for year 2007.

1.      The Ardaita TVET College has funds within the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Store Building at Ardaita.

2.      The Ardaita TVET College invites sealed bids from eligible bidders of GC/BC class 5 and above

3.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Construction Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 9:00 A.M. to 16:30 P.M. local time.

5.      A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased as of “Tahisas 22, 2000 E.C. by interested eligible bidders on submission of a WRITTEN APPLICATION, VAT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, MINISTRY OF WORKS AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, TRADE LICENSE & TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE at the address below at 7(b). And upon payment of non-refundable fee of 450 Birr.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(C ) or before 12:00 A.M. hrs Tir 22, 2000 E.C. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security 40,000 Birr payable at first demand. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) 14:30 P.M. hrs Tir 22, 2000 E.C.

7.      a) Documents can be inspected at: Construction Design Sh. Co. Design Studio II   Block No 4 Office No. 15 (Tel. 011-442 33 74 Or 011-442 08 00 Ext. 225).

b) Documents can be purchased at: Construction Design Share Company,

c) Bids must be delivered to: Construction Design Share Company, 3^rd Floor

    Tender document box 12:00 A.M. hrs Tir 22, 2000 E.C.

d) Address of Bid Opening: Construction Design Share Company, 3^rd Floor Conference Hall

e) The bidders shall seal the Original, Bid security and all copies of the bid in five inner envelopes i.e. (Technical proposal. Financial Offer and Bid security) and one outer envelope, duly marking the inner envelopes as “ORIGIANL” and “COPIES” both for the “The Technical proposal” and “Financial Offer”. Copy documents should be photocopy of the original bid document.

f) The employer has the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidders are instructed to fill, sign and seal all the forms of the bid document. Failure of this instruction may lead to bid rejection.

All bid must include Value Added Tax (VAT) on the summary of the price.

Partial rebate, like fixed sum and rebate on some items is not acceptable.
