Notice of Invitation for Consultants
Services
for the Road Maintenance Program undertaken
by different Road
Agencies
1. Office
of the Road Fund of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
(FDRE) has been allocating sufficient budget towards the cost of
maintenance of roads under the jurisdiction of different Road
Agencies for the past ten years and intends to apply a portion of
the fund to eligible payments under this contract for the
consultancy Services for the road maintenance program undertaken by
different road agencies, Office of the Road Fund now invites
proposals for the consultancy Services for the road maintenance
program undertake by different road agencies as per the following
Lots.
Lot-I: Consultants Services for
the Supervision of Road Maintenance Program for Tigray Region Urban
and Rural Road Agencies. The details of the description of services
are stated in a separate RFP Document.
2. Office
of the Road Fund (RF) invites all local road consultants category
III and above, who are VAT registered, to submit proposals for the
services listed in the request for proposals (RFP). Consultants must
possess renewed trade license from Ministry of Trade & Industry; and
registration certificate from Ministry of Works and Urban
Development for at least 1999 Ethiopian budget year.
3. Interested
consulting firms may obtain further information & purchase the RFP
document from the office of the Road Fund, Ministry of Works and
Urban Development Building 6th
floor, Engineering Department, Tel. 53 34 72 Or 52 83 07, Fax: 53 44
07 by submission of a written application to Office of the Road
Fund; submission of registration certificate for VAT, renewed trade
licenses against payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr
150 for each Lot.
4. Signed
& sealed Technical & Financial Proposals should be prepared &
submitted in accordance with the RFP to the Director General’s
office, Office of the Road Fund, Ministry of Works and Urban
Development Building, 6th floor, P.O. Box 8642, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia.
5. The
latest time for submission of proposals is 30 days after the
announcement of this notice on The Ethiopian Herald, 2:30 P.M. Local time. Any proposal after this time will not be considered.
6. Bids
will be opened on the 31st day of the announcement, 3:00
P.M. local time at our conference room, 7th floor of
Ministry of Works and Urban Development Building. If the 31st
day is a weekend or a holiday, the opening date will be on the next
working day.
7. Office
of the Road Fund reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
