OPEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE
BIDDING
FOR THE SUPPLY OF
30,000mt (+0/-5%) WHITE CANE SUGAR
1. The
Ethiopian Sugar Development Agency has funds within the
Procuring entity’s budget to be used for the procurement of
30,000MT (+0/-5%) WHITE CANE SUGAR.
2. The
Agency invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and
delivery of 30,000MT (+0/-5%) WHITE CANE SUGAR.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures
contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Government
of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all
bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the
Procurement and Foreign Sales Department of the Agency and
inspect the bidding documents at the address given below during
working hours.
5. The
local agent is required to present valid trade license renewed for
the budget year and VAT Registration Certificate to collect the
bidding document.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased
by interested bidders at the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 300.00. The method of
payment will be in cash.
7. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security if USD 100,000 or
equivalent in Ethiopia
Birr at the prevailing
exchange rate in the form of Bank Guarantee or CPO from Commercial
Bank of Ethiopia.
8.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before
10:00 A.M. local time
on 8th February 2008.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the address below at
10:30 A.M. local time on 8th
February 2008.
9. The
Agency reserves all rights to accept or reject any or all bids or
cancel the tender without giving reasons thereof.
