CONTRACTORS OF CATEGORY BC Class 7 and above with valid
license for the year 1999E.C.
1. The
ETHIOPIAN INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH (EIAR)
invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders for furnishing the
necessary labour, material, equipment and service for:
A.
Construction and maintenance of different building.
B.
Construction of Cafeteria & Office extension at National Fish
and
Other Aquatic Life’s Research Center-Sebeta.
C.
Construction of poultry House at Pawi research center.
D.
Maintenance of MA CADAM road at Holleta Research Center
2. Each
Maintenance and Construction works shall be completed within 150
calendar days for item A&B, 120 calendar days for item C,90 calendar
days for item D from the commencement of the works.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian
Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR), Engineering Service,
Tel:011-464-01-27 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
4. Each
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested
eligible bidder upon non-refundable payment of Birr 100.00 (One
Hundred).
5. Bid
shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must
be accompanied by security of Birr 3000.00 (Three Thousand) for item
D, Birr 4000.00/ Four Thousand Birr/ for item C and 5000.00 / Five
thousand Birr) for Item A&B shall be delivered to Ethiopian
Institute of Agricultural Research on the 30th days
before 12:00 A.M. from 1st issuance date of the bid on
The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper.
6. The
bid security shall, at the bidder’s option, be in the form of cash,
a certified cheque or payable order, bank draft, letter of credit,
or an unconditional bank guarantee. Bid security shall be valid for
28 days beyond the validity of the bid.
7. Bidders
have to be registered to collect “VAT” and copy of VAT certificate
has to be submitted attached with the application during the
purchase of bid document.
8. Bids
will be opened on the same date at 2:00 P.M. in the Conference Hall of the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural
Research in the presence of the bidders or their representatives.
9. The
Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) reserves the
rights to accept or reject any or all bids.
