Invitation for
Re-Bid
This is an
amended announcement for the same Re-Bid 31/2007 announced on the
Ethiopian Herald dated on 8th and 10th June,
2008.
1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites interested Bidders
for the supply of:
Lot I. Water meters, small size (1/2”
to 11/2”)
Lot II. Water meters, large size (2”
to 4”)
Lot III. Spare parts for water maters

The Bid Documents shall be purchased from AAWSA’s Purchasing
Division located at Megenagna, P.O. Box 1505, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,
Tel 011-662-00-10, Or 011-662-18-02, Fax (251-011) 662 39 24 against
payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 during office hours upon
presentation of registration certificate from the Federal Ministry
of Finance, renewed Trade License for the year & VAT registration
certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office or
AAWSA’s Purchasing Division located at Megenagna, P.O. Box 1005,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011-662-00-10, Or 011-662-18-02, Fax.
(251-011) 662 39 24.
4. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting as specified under
ITB clause 14 of the bid document for:
Lot I. Water meters, small size (1/2”
to 11/2”)
50,000 Birr
Lot II. Water meters, large size (2”
to “4) 50,000 Birr
Lot III. Spare parts for water
maters 3,000 Birr
in the form
of Bank Guarantee or Certified Payment
Order (CPO) or Cash, Bid Bond in any other form shall
not be acceptable.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two spate envelopes: - 1. Technical envelope
2. Financial envelope each having one original and one copies.
6. All
eligibility certificates cited under No. 2 should be found in the
original technical envelope, and are submitted in the tender box on
the closing date.
7. Bid
bond should be in a separate envelope and be submitted in the tender
box together with the original technical envelope.
8. If
the Supplier is not Manufacturer, he should provide signed and if
possible stamped suppliers authorization from the Manufacturer.
9. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 10:00 A.M. local time on August 26, 2008.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on August 26, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. local time.
11. Failure
to comply with any of the conditions indicated under 4 to 9 will
result in automatic rejection.
12. The
Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
