1. Ethiopian
Airports Enterprise invites sealed bids from eligible registered
contractors of Category GC-1 or BC-1 for the construction of Jijiga Airport Terminal Building.
2. All
bidders should have a trade license and construction service
certificates valid for 2000 Ethiopian calendar years and VAT
Registration certificate.

4. Each
bidder proposing to bid for this project must be eligible fulfilling
the requirements of the particular instruction of the tender
documents.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested
eligible bidder upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
2000(Two Thousand Birr) including VAT from National Consultants,
Addis Ababa.
6. The
offer envelopes shall be submitted as follows:
6.1
The original and a copy of the Offer documents shall be
sealed in separate envelopes and marked “Original offer Document”
and “Copy of Offer Document” respectively.
6.2
The Bid Security shall be sealed in a separate envelope
marked “Bid Security”
6.3
The envelopes in 5.1 and 5.2 shall then be sealed in an outer
envelope marked “Offer Document”.
7. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 100,000. The bid
security shall be payable on demand to the employer, and must be an
irrevocable Letter of Credit, or Bank Guarantee, or a Certified
Payment Order (CPO) at the bidders option.
8. Wax-sealed
envelopes containing an original and a copy of Offer and
Qualification documents should be delivered to the:

On or before August 28, 2008 up to
10:00 A.M No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidder’s
representatives who choose to attend at the Ethiopian Airports
Enterprise conference hall on August 28, 2008 at 10:15 A.M.
10. The
construction of the work shall be completed within 540 calendar
days.
11. All
bids must include 15% VAT on the summery of price separately shown.
12. Bidders
are instructed to fill, sign and seal all the forms of the bid
documents. Failure of this instruction may result in automatic
rejection.
13. The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive
informalities, advertise for new bids or to proceed and do the work
otherwise as may be necessary for its best interest.
