1. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has
received a loan from the African Development Bank in various
currencies to finance the cost of the Project “The Creation of
Sustainable Testse and Trypanosomiasis-Free Areas in East and West
Africa” to be implemented by the Ethiopian Science and Technology
Agency (ESTA) Southern Rift Valley Tsetse Eradication Project
(STEP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will
be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for the supply
of Information Technology Equipment and Software, Office Equipment,
Global Positioning Systems, Camping Equipment and Boats and Motors.
2. The
STEP now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of
the following items:

4. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100 Birr.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the above office on or before 10:00 A.M. on 30 September 2008, and must be
accompanied by a security of 1,000 Birr per lot included in the bid.
6. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose
to attend at 10:30 A.M. on dd-mmm-yyyy (Minimum of 45 Days), at the
