Request for Expression of Interest

Awash International Bank S.C. (hereinafter referred to as “AIB”) is a Bank formed under the Ethiopian Banking Proclamation 84/1994. AIB is the fist private bank formed after the liberalization of the sector and now operates with 50 branches including the HO.

AIB has recently developed a 5-years Strategic Planning and Management (SPM) Document covering the period 2007-2011. The SPM document underscores the importance of ICT in service delivery, market leadership, improvement of internal efficiency, as a market differentiator and expanding business scope. The SPM has identified key business processes that will benefit from automation and integration. AIB has allocated budget for the automation and identified key processes.

In a bid to executed the projects identified in the SPM document, AIB intends to implement 9 Banking Applications and Enterprise Productively Systems (BAEPS) in all of its branches including the Head Office now invites companies and firms which have COTS system or are developers of BAEPS and have ownership of the various proprietary rights attaching thereto, to submit their EOI for the whole or part of the following BAPEPS components:

1.      International Banking Application

2.      An-end-to-end Credit/Loan Application

3.      Payment and Clearance Application

4.      Enterprise Resource Planning System with or without HR and Payroll Application,

5.      Web Portal with or without Collaborative Suite and Document Management and Work flow

6.      Customer Call Center/Help Desk

7.      Internet Banking

8.      Telephone Banking

9.      Data Warehousing Application
