1. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a Credit from the International
Development Association towards the cost of Energy Access Project,
and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to
payments under the contract for the procurement of Solar Home
Systems.
2. The
Rural Electrification Executive Secretariat now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the procurement of:
Lot One: Rogie
Bale wold Electrification Co-operative
Two of 25 Wp Systems
Sixteen of 40 Wp Systems
Thirty Two of 60 Wp Systems
Total of 50
Solar Home Systems
Lot Two : Mukiye Haro Rural Electric Co-operative Society
Two of 10 Wp Systems
Six of 25 Wp Systems
Thirty One of 40 Wp Systems
Two of 80 Wp Systems
Total of 41
Solar Home Systems
3. Qualification
requirements include: Domestic suppliers must provide VAT
registration certificate.
4. A
complete set of bidding documents prepared in English may be
purchased by the interested bidders below upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 30.00 (Thirty), Monday to Friday at 8:30
AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM starting from 16 June 2008.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the address below on or before 3:00 PM July 17,
2008. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of bidders/bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in
person at 3:30 PM 17 July 2008. All bids must be accompanied by bid
security not less than 2% of the bid price.
