Invitation for Bidding for Petroleum
Exploration and Production
License in Ethiopia
The Ministry of
Mines and Energy, on be half of the Government of Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia, invites technically and finically complete and
legally established companies to bid for two separate contract
agreements each containing the following blocks to undertake
petroleum exploration.
a)
Contract -1 (Ogaden Basin)
Blocks: 1,5,10 & 14
b)
Contract -2 (Abay Basin)
Blocks 2,3,5,6
Petroleum
companies willing to participate in the bidding are required to
collect soft copy (CD) of the bid document from the following
address below, starting from the date of announcement in the
Ethiopian Herald using (A) or by requesting via e-mail using B.

The deadline for
submission of the proposal shall be July 15, 2008 at local time
12:00 A.M. The Ministry of Mines and Energy shall undertake a prequalification
screening before conducting bid evaluation based on financial and
technical competency and legal establishment of companies. Award
shall be made in accordance with the bid evaluation procedure
contained in the bid document. |
