1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association /IDA/ toward the cost of public sector capacity building program, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the supply and installation of LAN materials under IFB No. Amha/G-03/07

2.      The Amhara National Regional Capacity Building Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and installation of LAN materials for ANRS Revenue Authority, Trade & Industry Bureau and Bureau of Water Resource.

3.      Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders form eligible source counties.

4.      A complete set of bidding document in English “for each Lot may be purchased by an interested eligible bidders on…” the submission of written application to the ANRS Bureau of capacity building and upon non-refundable payment of Birr 50 (Fifty Birr) for each bid document in cash starting from the date of this bid announcement during the official working hours.

5.      Detail specifications of LAN materials and Accessories and required qualifications of the bidder for Installation of LAN materials are available in the bid documents.

6.      Bids must be accompanied by a bid security bond amounting to Ethiopian Birr 1% of the total bid amount in one envelope for each Lot in an acceptable form. The bid security should be in the form of an un conditional bank guarantee or certified payment order (CPO).

7.      Bidders should present currency renewed trade license, VAT & TIN Registration Certificates and should submit their document based on the instruction stated in the bid document.

8.      The Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids  

9.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and bids must be delivered to the address below starting from the date of this INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). Bids will be closed at 2:30 P.M. on 10 July, 2008. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives of bidders’ who choose to present in person at 3:00 P.M. on 10 July 2008. Late bids will be rejected.

10.  The offer must be valid for 120 days from the bid submission date.
