Supply and Installation of Software

1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of
public sector capacity building program, and it intends to apply
part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract
for the supply and installation of software materials under IFB No.
Amha/G-03/07.
2. The
Amhara National Regional Capacity Building Bureau now invites sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the supply and installation of
software materials for ANRS President Office.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and is open to all bidders from
eligible source counties.
4. A
bidder should have financial, technical and installation capacity
necessary to perform the contract, meets the qualification criteria
specified in the Bid Data Sheets of a bid document and has
successful performance history.
5. A
complete set of Bidding document in English “for each contract may
be purchased by an interested eligible bidders on…” the submission
of written application to the ANRS Bureau of Capacity Building and
upon non-refundable payment Birr 50.00 /Fifty Birr/ for each bid
document in cash starting from the date of this bid announcement
during the official working hours.
6. The
attention of prospective Bidders is drawn to (i) the fact that they
will be required to certify in their bids that all software is
covered by a valid license and violations are considered fraud.
7. Bids
must be accompanied by a bid security bond amounting to Ethiopian
Birr 1% of the total bid amount in one envelope. The bid security
should be in the form of un conditional bank guarantee or certified
payment order (CPO) and it must be remain valid for 28 days beyond
the validity period of the bid.
8. Bidders
should present currently renewed trade license, VAT & TIN
Registration Certificates and should submit their document based on
the instruction stated in the bid document.
9. Bidders
should conduct a site visit to make their proposal compatible to the
installed Local Area Network materials and accessories.
10. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
11. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information and bids must be
delivered to the address below starting from the date of this
INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). Bids will be closed at 2:30 P.M. on 8 July 2008. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives of
bidders who choose to present in person at
3:00 P.M. on 8 July 2008. Late bides will be rejected.
12. The
offer must be valid for 120 from the bid submission date.
