1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association towards the cost of
Post-Secondary Education Project, and it intendeds to apply part of
the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the
Supply and Delivery of Vehicles.
2. The
Harmahya University now invites sealed bids from eligible and
qualified bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Vehicles.

Bids will be
evaluated and contract (s) awarded for each lot taking into account,
discount offered, if, any, in determining the lowest evaluated cost
which will be the basis for award of contract.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
4. Interested

Liaison Office, General Education Curriculum Frame Work Development
Department Building in front of American Embassy, Office, Office No.
355, Tel. 0111-23 66 01 Or 23 58 12, Addis Ababa, and inspect the
Bidding Documents from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 A.M. and 1:30 to 5:30 P.M.
during working days.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the
Haramaya University Liaison Office and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00 or equivalent amount in a freely
convertible currency. The method of payment will be in the form of
cash, cashier’s, certified or crossed check or a bank draft in favor
of the Harmaya University.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the Harmaya University Liaison Office at the
address given above at or before 11:00 A.M. on July 21, 2008.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the
address given above at 11;00 A.M. on July 21, 2008. All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of Birr 10,000.00 or its equivalent
amount in a freely convertible currency. |
