1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association toward the cost of
Post-Secondary Education Project, and it intends to apply part of
the proceeds of this credit to payments, under the Contract for the
Supply and Delivery of Artificial Insemination Equipment.
2. The
Haramaya University now invites sealed bids from eligible and
qualified bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Artificial
Insemination Equipment.

Bids will be
evaluated and contract (s) awarded for the lot taking into account,
discounts offered, if any, in determining the lowest evaluated cost
which will be the basis for award of contract.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the Word Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
Eligible Source Counties as defined in the Guidelines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders any obtain further information from Haramaya
University Liaison Office, General Education Curriculum Frame Work
Development Department Building, in front of American Embassy,
Office No. 355, Tel. 0111-23 66 01 Or 23 68 12, Addis Ababa, and
inspect the Bidding Documents from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 A.M. and 1:30
to 5:30 P.M. during working days.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the
Harmaya University Liaison Office and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00 or equivalent amount in a freely
convertible currency. The method of payment will be in the form of
cash, cahier’s. certified or crossed check or a bank in favor of the
Harmaya University.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the Harmaya University Liaison Office at the
address given above at or before 9:30 A.M. on July 21, 2008.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the
address given above at 9:30 A.M. on July 21, 2008. All must bids
must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 10,000.00 or its
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. |
