1. Oromia
Regional Health Bureau has received a grant from the Italian
Government towards the cost of Health Sector Development Programme
(HSDP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible
payments under the contract for the Expansion of Dukem Warehouse,
and from Regional Government for Construction of Library at Negelle
Health Science College with the Contract identification Number
NCB/IC/HSDP/DUKEM & NEGELLE/01/08. Bidding is open to all bidders
from eligible source countries as defined in guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA credit, and governmental regulations.
2. Oromia
Regional Health Bureau invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders
to all National contractors of class GC/BC 5 and above and regularly
registered with the Ministry of Works and Urban Development and who
have renewed their license for the Expansion of Dukem Warehouse
(East Shoa Zone) and Construction of Library at Negelle Health
Science College (Guji Zone).
3. Bidding
documents (and additional copies) may be purchased from Oromia
Regional Health Bureau, Health Facilities Construction and
Maintenance Department, Room No. 1, Addis Ababa for a non-refundable
fee of Birr 300.00 (Three Hundred Birr) for Dukem Warehouse and Birr
400.00 (Four Hundred Birr) for Negelle Library, or its equivalent in
a freely-convertible currency commencing from 22nd June
2008 to 11th July 2008. Interested bidders may obtain
further information at the same address.
4. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening and must
be accompanied by bid security of at least 2% of the project cost or
its equivalent in a freely convertible currency in a form of CPO,
Unconditional insurance bonds, bank guarantee or in cash, and shall
be delivered to Oromia Regional Health Bureau on or before 11th
July 2008 at 3:00 P.M. in the afternoon at which time the bid will
be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
5. Completion
time for the construction work for Dukem Warehouse will be 150
calendar days and 400 calendar days for Negelle Library.
6. All
questionnaires and formats in the bidding documents shall be filled
by eligible bidders are advised to read the bidding data properly
and respond accordingly.
7. Bidders

8. The
bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
