INVITATION FOR BID
GENERAL:
The International
Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) helps reduce poverty, hunger and
environmental degradation by enhancing animal agriculture in
developing counties, work in partnerships and alliances with
hundreds of organizations in developed and developing institutions
in the world, ILRI employs about 700 staff from about 40 counties
and is one of the 15 research centers sponsored by the Consultative
Ground on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which
comprises member countries, international organizations and
foundations.
THE
INTERNATIONAL LIVESTOCK RESEARCH INSTITUTE
(ILRI) is
inviting wax-sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for
providing the necessary labor, material inputs (cement, bricks,
sand, gravel, wood, and ceiling and floor tiles etc…) and equipment
for the construction and completion of Germplasm Health
Laboratory Plant Containment Level 2 PL-2 in its compound.
Sets of bid
documents can be obtained on payment of a non-refundable amount of
Birr 100.00 (One Hundred Only) per set. Sealed Bids with separate
Technical or Financial proposals shall be submitted within ten
(10) working days from the date of last publication of this
advertisement on “The Monitor” & “The Ethiopian Herald” in
wax-sealed envelopes marked “BID FOR GERMPLASMA HEALTH LABORATORY
PLANT CONTAINMENT LEVEL 2 PL-2” to the following address:

and shall be
publicly opened on the next date at the above place at 10:00 hrs
when the names of the bidders and the amounts of their bids will be
declared. Bidders are advised to attend the opening of bids.
Bidders should
comply in full with the ‘INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS” in the bid
documents. Failure to comply with the instruction to bidders may
result in non compliance and rejection of bid.
International
Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) reserves the right to reject any
or all bids, to waive information, to advertise for new bids or to
proceed and do the works otherwise as may be deemed to be for its
best interest. |
