REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

AND BURAYU WATER SUPPLY & SEWERAGE SERVICE ENTERPRISES
Water Supply and Sanitation Project

The Government
of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the
cost of the Water Supply and Sanitation Project and intends to apply
part of the proceeds for Sebeta-Awas and Burayu towns water supply
and sanitation project consultancy services. The Services include
providing Design review, Business Plan Review, and conducting
contract administration and construction supervision of the
projects. The service is provided in phase as specified below;
Phase I
Among others, the consultant shall revise/prepare and update the
previously proposed design, cost estimate, financial analysis,
implementation schedule, drawings, and bill of quantities,
specification bidding and contract documents. During the review and
updating work the consultant will carry out thorough financial and
economic analysis of the project and develop a full cost recovery
tariff for the proejc5t.
Phase II
The phase II will begin on instruction by the client after
review/preparation and acceptance of the phase I assignment. Among
other things the under this phase the consultant shall assist the
client in tendering, contract administration and will carry out
construction supervision work.
Sebeta-Awash and
Burayu Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise now invite eligible
consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services.
Interested consultants to indicate their interest in providing the
services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating
that they are qualified to perform the services (Brochures,
description of similar assignments, experience in similar
conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff., etc.)
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualificatios.
A consultant
will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the
World Banks guidelines: Selection and employment of consultants by
World Bank Borrowers. (May 2004) Interested consults may obtain
