contractors of category GC/BC Class 6 & above with valid
license for the current year.
1. The
Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Agency has funds within the
Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Open Ditch
and Culvert at Kombolcha.
2. The
disaster Prevention and Preparedness Agency invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders of GC/RC Class 6 and above.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures
contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal
Democratic Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of
Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form Construction
Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents at the
address given below at 7(a) from
9:00A.M. to 16:30 P.M. local time.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in may be purchased as of
Ginbot 29/2000 by interested eligible bidders on submission of a
written Application, VAT registration certificate, Ministry of
works and Urban Development registration certificate, Trade &
Industry Development License, Tax Clearance Certificate and
supporting letter at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment
of a non-refundable fee of 125.00 Eth Birr.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7 (c), at or before
12:00 A.M. on Sene 19, 2000. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian Birr
50,000.00 form recognized financial institutions payable on first
demand addressed to the employer.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at
2:30 P.M. on Sene 19,2000.

8. Bidders
are instructed to submit one “ORIGINAL” and One “PHOTOCOPY”
of the Qualification Information and the Financial bid Documents in
separate Envelope. Insert bid bond in the original Qualification
information envelope.
9. The
Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders are instructed to fill, sing
and seal all the forms of the bid documents. Failure of this
instruction may lead to bid rejection.
All bids must include Value Added Tax
(VAT) on the Summary of the price.
Partial rebate, like fixed sum and
rebate on some items is not acceptable.
