Re-Bid
To all general
works contractors of category six and above, with license
valid for the year 2007/2008.
1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) Water and
Sanitation; Development and Rehabilitation Project Office invites
eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labour, material,
equipment and services for the construction of sewer lines and
appurtenances in Kirkos sub city. The work consists of construction
of the sewer lines meant for connecting 34 Meda and Meskel Flower,
Kirkos 4 and Amalgamated; Mamrecha and Temenja Yaje condominium
houses’s service connections; to the existing sewer line at Kera in
Kirkos sub city locality.
2. The
construction works shall be completed in 120 Calendar days from the
commencement day of the works.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may purchase a bidding document upon presentation
of work permit and renewed trade license from the Ministry of Water
Resources and Trade and Industry respectively for the year 2007/2008
(2000 E.C.), VAT and Tax payers’ registration certificate.
4. A
complete set of bidding Documents may be purchased starting from
June 9, 2008 onwards during office hours against payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) from the
under mentioned project office.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes one TECHNICAL
and the other FINANCIAL separately each having one original
and two copies.
6. All
envelopes shall be wax-sealed and inserted in a bigger envelope. The
outer and inner envelopes shall bear the full address of the bidder.
The outer envelopes shall also bear the following.

Bids must be deposited in the tender
box prepared for this purpose at A.AWSA Water and Sanitation,
Development, and rehabilitation project office on or before
July 8, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. local
time.
7. Bidders
are advised to read the Instructions to Bidders before filling in
their bids and must quote for all items of work.
8. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, in the form of Bank
guarantee, CPO or cashier’s check amounting to Birr 50,000.00 (Fifty
Thousand Birr). Bid bond in any other form shall not be accepted.
9. Bids
shall be opened on July 8,
2008 at 10:00 A.M. local
time at The Project Office in the presence of the bidders or their
legal representatives who wish to attend.
10. The
AAWSA-Water and Sanitation; Development and Rehabilitation Project
Office reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids.
