1. THE
FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA
has received in a loan from the
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (IDA) towards the cost of
Rural Capacity Building Project and intends to apply part of the
funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract identification
No. NCB/SOM/IDA 01 and 05/2008 for the construction of five farmers
training centers, under two packages in Gode and Jijiga Woredas of
Somali Regional State listed below.
Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as
defined in the Guidelines; procurement under IBRD loans and IDA
credits.

2. The
FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA SOMALI REGIONAL STATE
LIVESTOCK, CROP AND NATURAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT BUREAU invites
sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Farmers
Training Center (ETC) with SUPPORTIVE FACILITIES, TO CONTRACTORS
GC/BC 6 and above for package I and GC/BC 7 and above for
package V are eligible to bid. Bidders are required to provide a
valid trade license from the appropriate government body and proof
of registration from the Ministry of Infrastructure, for the current
physical year.
3. Bidders
document (and additional copies) may be purchased at Somali
REGIONAL STATE LIVESTOCK, CROP AND NATURAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
BUREAU, Rural Capacity Building Office, Tel. (0257) 75 35 84 for
a non-refundable fee of:

Birr for package I and
150 Birr for package V
In freely convertible currency, on working hours except Friday
and Sunday.
4. Bid
shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening and must
be accompanied by security of not less than 2% of the bid amount or
its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, and shall be
delivered to SOMALI REGIONAL STATE LIVESTOCK, CROP AND NATURAL
RESOURVED DEVELOPMENT BUREAU on or before 21 March 2008, 10:15
A.M. local time.
5. Bids
will be opened 21 March 2008, in the presence of
those bidders or their representatives who choose to attend on the
same date and place at 10:30 A.M. local time.
