IFB Title: Surveying and other Equipment
1. This
Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this
Protect that was posted on dgMarket on December 9, 2004.
2. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association toward the cost of
Ethiopian Nile Irrigation and Drainage project, and it intends to
apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the
Contract for supply of Surveying and other Equipment.
3. The
Ministry of Water Resources on behalf the Environmental Protection
Land Administration and Use Authority, of the
Amhara National Regional State
now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for
supply of.:

4. Bidders
are required to present currently renewed License, Tax clearance
certificate or supporting letter from appropriate tax collecting
authority, Suppliers registration certificate of MOFED, VAT
registration certificate, if their total bidding price exceeds Birr
100,000.00.
5.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive
Bidding (NCB) a procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders form Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
Bidders have the option to Bid for all or separate lot.
6. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form the Ministry of
Water Resources, Procurement Division Room No.202 Tel. 025-011-661
11 11, (Ext.379,557, 558,519), Fax. 61-07-10 Or 61 08 85, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia Monday to Thursday Morning 8:30 A.M. -12:30 A.M. and
Afternoon 1:30 P.M. -5:30 P.M. Friday 8:30 A.M. -11:30 A.M. and
Afternoon 1:30 PM -5:30 PM during the Office hours and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the address given above.
7. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
Application to the address above and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of ETB 100 (One Hundred Ethiopian Birr) or an
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in the form of
cash.
8. Bids
must be delivery to the address above at or before 2:00 P.M. on 16/06/2008. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid closing
and must be accompanied by security of as stated in the above in the
form of Cash Order (CPO) only. Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend in person at 2:30 P.M. on 16/-6/2008 in the
conference room of the Ministry of Water Resources.
10. The
Ministry of Water Resources reserves the right to accept or reject
all or part of the bid.
