The Mekelle City
Water Supply and Sewerage Service (MWSSS) has allocated a budget for
the procurement of chlorine for its water supply purpose as
specified in the bid document.
1. The
office now invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders for the
supply of the above.
2. Bidding
will be conducted through the national competitive bidding
procedures specified in the Government guidelines.
3. Qualification
requirements include: A valid & renewed trade license for the year
2000 E.C. VAT & TIN registration certificates & necessary tax
clearance for the year under bid.
4.
Interested eligible bidder may obtain further information
from Mekelle City Water Supper and Sewerage Service procurement Room
No. 14 during office hours.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr
100.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the office at Mekelle Head Office Room No. 14
in 20 working days from the first announcement on The Ethiopian
Herald at 3:00 P.M.
7. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security on Ethiopian Birr 1% of
the total bid price in the form of CPO.
8. The
item (chlorine) powder shall be delivered to the head office in
Mekelle in 30 days from contract signing.
9. Late
bids will be rejected automatically.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders and/or their official
representatives who want to attend in person at the 20th
working day from the first announcement on The Ethiopian Herald
at 3:30 P.M.
11. Failure
to comply with any one of the conditions indicated above shall
result in automatic rejection.
12. The
office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
