Dansha Road Project, Contract 3: Dansha-Dejena_Adiremet
1. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has
allocated budget towards the cost of Endaselassie- Dejena-Dasha Road
Project, Contract 3: Dansha-Dejena-Adirement and intends to apply
part of the proceeds to eligible payments for this Contract.
2. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority has now invites bidders to submit sealed
bids for providing the necessary labour, material and equipment for
the construction of Endaselassie –Dejena-Dansha Road Project,
Contract 3: Dansha-Dejena-Adirement.
3.
Interested bidders shall submit the following evidence;
a)
In the case of Ethiopian bidders only, its Certificate of
registration form Ministry of Works and Urban Development with
Category GC-1 or RC-1 valid for 2000 EFY.
b)
In case of bidders other than Ethiopian; valid relevant
professional practice certificate.
c)
Other appropriate documentary evidence demonstrating the
bidder’s compliance which shall include;-
i.
Its valid trading license valid at bidding and VAT
registration for 2000 EFY; and
ii.
Its tax clearance valid at bidding and VAT registration
certificate.
4. The
road project is located in Northern Part of Ethiopia in the Tigray
Regional state and the work under this project consists of
construction of 98 km length of the road to DS4 Standard of Asphalt
Concrete Surface. The construction period is 1096 calendar days.
5.
Bidding will be conducted through the international
competitive bidding procedures specified the Bidding
Documents, and are open to all bidders as define the Bidding
Documents.
6. Interested
eligible bidder may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 to 12:30 A.M.
and 1:30 to 5:30 P.M. from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:30 to 11:30
A.M. and 1:30 P.M. 50 5:30 P.M. on Friday local time. A complete set
of bidding documents prepared in English language may be purchased
by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to
the address below and upon payment of non-refundable fee of ETB 4000
or in USD 430 effective as of May 29, 2008.
The method of payment shall be in
cash or direct deposit to ERA’s account number NBE 0160101011500.

7. Bidders
shall submit two envelopes, “Qualification information & Bid
Security” in one envelope and “Finance Bid” separately in another
envelope and should be sealed in an outer envelope.
8. Evaluation
is to be carried out in two stages. Qualification information first
and Finance Bids of qualified bidders next.
9. Bids
must be delivered to the address below on or before July 15, 2008 at
2:30 P.M. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2,000,000 ETB. Late
bids will be rejected. Qualification information and bid security of
the address will be opened in the presence of
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below on
the final date and time of bid submission as stated above.
