1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites interested Bidders
for the supply of:
Lot 1.
Plyelectroyte, Lot 2. Liquid chorine & Spare Parts for the chorine
gas distribution system.
2. The
Bid Document shall be purchased from AAWSA’s Procurement Division,
office No, 223, located at Megenana, P.O. Box 1505, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia, Tel. 011-662 00 10, 011 662 18 02, Fax (251-011) 662 39 24
against payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 during office
hours upon presentation of registration certificate from the Federal
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, renewed trade License
for the year & VAT registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidder may obtain further information at the office of
AAWSA’s Procurement Division located at Megenagna, P.O. Box 1505,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011-662 00 10, 011 662 18 02, Fax.
(251-011) 662 39 24.
4. All
bids must be accompanied by bid bond amounting as specified under
ITB clause 14 of the bid document for each, lot, in the form of Bank
Guarantee or Certified Payment Order (C.P.O) or Cash. Bid Bond in
any other form shall not be acceptable.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes:- 1. Technical envelope
2. Financial envelope each having one original and one copies.

7. All
eligibility certificates cited herein above should be found in the
original technical envelope, and are submitted in the tender box on
the closing date.
8. Bid
Bond should be in a separate envelope and be submitted in the tender
box together with the original technical envelope.
9. If
the Supplier is not Manufacturer, he should provide signed & if
possible stamped stamped Suppliers authorization from the
Manufacture and the Agent shall provide authorization letter from
the Supplier.
10. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 10:00 A.M. local time on Dec. 30, 2008.
11. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
preventatives who wish to attend, on Dec. 30, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. local time.
12. Failure
to comply with any of the conditions indicated from number 4 to 9
will result in automatic rejection.
13. The
Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
