To all
Contractors of Category GC Class I with license valid for
current year.
1. The
Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State, Water
Resources Development Bureau (SNNPRS, WRDB) invites eligible
national bidders, registered contractors of category GC Class I
whose license, registrations and VAT registration certificate
are valid for 2001 EC, to submit wax-sealed bids for furnishing the
necessary labour, material, equipment and services for installation
of DCI Pipes, Fittings, Valves and Surface Centrifugal Pumps and
Construction of Civil Works.
2. The
work on offer mainly consists of: installation of DN300 mm DCI pipe
having a total length 21 km, valves, fittings, and 10 surface
centrifugal pumps and construction of Road Crossings, River
Crossings, Access Roads, Valve Chambers, Thrust and Anchor Blocks.

4. Bidders
should present a business license renewed for the year 2001 E.C. and
registration for VAT issued form the Ministry of Finance & Economic
Development (MOFED).
5. Bidding
will be conducted though the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the Government Procurement Proclamation
Guideline and are open to all Competitive bidders.
6. A
complete set of bidder; up on payment of a non-refundable fee of
birr 1000 (One Thousand Birr). The bid document will be available
from date announced on The Ethiopian Herald at SNNPRS, Water
Resources Development Bureau using the contact address above.
7. Bidders
are invited to submit financial and technical proposals enclosed in
a wax-sealed envelope to the Bureau within 30 calendar days of this
announcement.
8. Bids
should be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 100,000.00 (One
Hundred Thousand Birr) in the form of CPO or bank guarantee & must
be delivered to the address specified in clause number 3 above.
9. Bid
shall be submitted on 30th calendar day from the
announcement, if the 30th calendar day lies on Ethiopian
holy day, the last date of bid submission will be the next working
day at 12:00 AM in the morning at Room No.4.
10. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their legal
representatives who choose to attend at the SNNPRS, Water Resources
Development Bureau –Library, Awassa, at the last date of bid
submission, at 2:00 P.M.
11. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 120 calendar days.
12. SNNPR
Water Resources Development Bureau reserves the right to reject any
or all bids without any reason thereof.
