Request for Expression of Interest
1. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a Grant from the Government of
Italy to finance the Project “Strengthening Regional Development
Planning in Oromia Region (SRDPO)”. The project aims to develop an
Information System supported by a Database and a Geographic
Information System (GIS), and deliver related training modules.
2. The
Oromia Bureau of Finance and Economic Development now invites
companies to express their interest to be included in a list of
qualified bidders to develop the Information System and the training
modules. Short listed companies will be invited to answer to the
Request for Proposal eventually issued by the Oromia Bureau of
Finance and Economic Development.
3. Interested
bidders may obtain further information and full copy of the Request
for Expression of Interest at the address below until December 1,
2008.

4. Interested
bidders must be eligible as per the World Bank Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credit (See paragraphs
1.6,1.7,1.8,http://siterources. Worldbank.org /IN PROCUREMENT/
Resources/Consultant-May-2004.pdf) and according to the criteria
stated in the Request for Expression of Interest (see section 2.1.).
The Expression of Interest (EoI) shall be submitted in English and
must include all the information request (section 2.1.). The
Expression for (EoI), otherwise it will be automatically rejected.
5. EoI
must be received in a sealed envelope by register mail, private
courier service or by hand-delivery. EoI sent by any other means
(e.g. by fax or by e-mail) or delivered to other addresses will be
rejected. The deadline for the receipt of EoI is
December 12, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. (Addis Ababa time). Any EoI
received after the deadline will automatically be rejected even if
the postmark indicates a date preceding the deadline or if the delay
is due to the mail service.
6. Responses
to this Request for EoI will be evaluated against established
criteria (see section 3. of the EoI). Short listed agencies will be
invited to participate in the Request for Proposal by the Person in
Charge of the Bureau of Finance and Economic Development.
7. The
short list will be valid for a minimum of three years from the date
of creation. |
