IFB Title-Toba & Tomega SMALL WORKS CONTRACT CIVIL
AND E & M SUPPLY
NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB_
1. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau though the
Government of Ethiopia has received credit from the International
Development Association toward the cost of the Water Supply and
Sanitation Project and it intends to apply part of funds to cover
eligible payments under the Contract for Toba & Tomega SMALL WORKS
CONTRACT –CIVIL AND E & M SUPPLY & INSTALLATION.
2. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed
bids from local or international eligible bidders for the
construction of Toba & Tomega SMALL WORKS CONTRACT CIVIL AND E & M
SUPPLY Project in Soddo Woreda of Gurage Zone in the region.
3. The
project in short comprises, Construction of 1(one) valve chamber,
construction of 1(one) Reservoir of 50M3 capacity,
Construction of 5(Five) Water points (6 faceted), construction of 1
(one) reservoir valve chamber, construction of 2(two) masonry
anchor, supply and installation of pipe and fitting, supply and
installation of 1 (one) submersible pump, Supply & Installation of 1
(one) generator, 1 (one) cattle though construction and other
appurtenant woks for Toba & Tomega Water Supply Project.
4. Bidding
will be conducted though a NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid opening.
6. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 2% of contract
amount in bank guarantee (CPO) and shall remain valid for 120 (One
Hundred Twenty) days. Insurance bond is not acceptable.
7. Bidders
must obtain registration for category GC6 or WC6 and above with
valid license for the current year.
8. Qualification
requirement include: 1/owner ship and/ or existing lease of relevant
equipment and machinery 2/experience in water works construction.
3/total turn over at least 1.2 times the value of this bid. 4/
availability of relevant experienced personnel as provided in the
bidding document with others additional details.
9. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application and copies of
necessary renewed licenses with originals from SNNP Regional Water
Resources Development Bureau, procurement Department, Room Number
05, Hawassa City, Telephone number 0462212469, at or before 10:00
A.M. of 30th day of announcement of this invitation for
bids notice on the Ethiopian national Newspaper upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200.
10. Bids
must be delivered to the SNNP Regional Water Resources Development
Bureau, Procurement Department, Room number 05, Hawassa City,
Telephone number 0462212469, at or before 10:00 A.M. of 30th
day of announcement of this invitation for bids notice on the
Ethiopian National Newspaper.
11. Electronic
bidding will not be permitted.
12. Late
bids will be rejected.
13. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend in person on 2:00 P.M. at or before 30th
day of announcement on national Newspaper at the library of SNNP
Regional Water Resources Development Bureau, Hawassa City, If the
bid will take place on the next working day at the same time and the
same venue.
14. THE
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau reserves the right to reject
all or part of the bid.
