Procurement of Five Midi Buses 26-30 Seats for Universities
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from
the International Development Association and other Donors toward
the cost of Protection of Basic services, and it intends to apply
part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract
for Procurement of Five Midi Buses 26-30 Seats for Universities.
2. The
Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency now invites sealed bids from
eligible and qualified bidders for the Procurement of Five Midi
Buses 26-30 seats for Universities.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bididng (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders form
eligible Source Countries as defined in the guidelines.
4. Interested

documents at the address given below form 8:30 A.M.-11:30 P.M. and
1:30 P.M.-4:30 P.M. form Monday to Friday.
5. A
compete set of bidding documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 100 (One Hundred birr). The
method of payment will be in cash, or Casher’s payment Order
(C.P.O), or direct deposit to PFSA A/C No. 0133818504100 with the
National Bank of Ethiopia.
6. Sealed
bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 2:00 P.M.
12th January 2009. Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend in
person at the PFSA Conference Hall, Addis Ketema, Kebele 19/20,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at 2:30 P.M. 12th January 2009. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the bid amount
including all incidental services or an equivalent amount in a
freely convertible currency.
