1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has applied for/received a
loan/grant from the African Development Bank/ Fund/Nigeria Trust
Fund towards the cost of Agricultural Sector Support Project and
intends to apply part of the funds to cover the eligible payments
under the contract for the Construction of Haroressa SSI Project
located at the boundary of Guji and Bale Zones, in Liban and Mada
Walabu Districds of Oromia National Regional State under Id.
No.4-7.
2. The
Oromia National Regional State Water Resources Bureau (OWRB) on
behalf of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
invites eligible contractors to
submit sealed bids for the execution and completion of the following
projects.

3. Bidding
is open to all bidders from Eligible member Counties as defined in
the ADB’s Rules and Procedures for the Procurement of Goods and
Works as well as to those domestic Contractors in GC 6 Category and
above licensed in Water Works Construction having license valid for
the current year (2000 E.C).
4. You
may purchase a complete set of bidding documents (and additional
Copies) from Oromia Water Resources Bureau, found in

upon submission of a written request
and payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr 150.00 (One Hundred
Fifty Birr only). Interested bidders may obtain further information
at the same office.
5. No
price adjustment will be allowed.
6. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid closing and must
be accompanied by a bid security of the amount stated above in the
form of Cash Payment Order (CPO) only during submission of
the bid.
7. Bids
shall be delivered to Oromia Water Resource Bureau (OWRB), 5th
Floor, Office Room No. 510,
P.O. Box 8630
on or Dec. 30, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. and will be opened Dec. 30, 2008 at 9:30 A.M. in the presence of the
bidders or their representatives who wish to attend. Late bids will
be rejected.
8. The
Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
