Procurement of Light vehicles for leak detection crew
1. This
invitation for Bids follows the general Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, issue No. 1919820,
August 17, 2007.
2. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International
Development Association toward the cost of Urban Water Supply and
Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of
this credit to payments under the contract for Procurement of light
vehicles for leak detection crew.
3. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sanitation Development and Rehabilitation
Project Office now invite sealed bids from eligible and qualified
bidders for the tender “Procurement of Light vehicles for leak
detection crew”.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding
(ICB) Procedures Specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, revised October 1,
2006 and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as
defined in the guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form Addis Ababa
Water and Sanitation Development and Rehabilitation Project Office,
Ato Getachew Daniel and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address
given below from 8:30 A.M. -17:30 P.M. local time, Monday to Friday.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be
purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300 (Birr Three Hundred) or USD 32
bidders will be in Cash. The Bidding Documents will be sent by
courier for local delivery and by Special post for the foreign
prospective bidder. However, Addis Ababa Water and Sanitation
Development and Rehabilitation Project Office will not take any
responsibility for a late/non delivery of the bidding documents sent
by mail. No. extension in bid submission date is permitted. on this
account. The foreign prospective bidders who would like to have the
bidding documents sent to them by Special post, an additional
payment of USD 100 (USD One Hundred) will have to be made for
postage.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 A.M. local
time on December 19, 2008. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of
the bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the
address below at 10:00 A.M. local time on December 19, 2008. All
bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Birr 100,00 (Birr One
Hundred Thousand) for each lot or an equivalent amount in a freely
convertible currency. A bond issued by a security shall be counted
guaranteed by any Bank in the Purchaser County.
