1. Action
For Development invites interested bidder for the supply of 1760
galvanized steel pipes, thickness 4.5mm, B-class, length 6m &
diameter 4 inch (100mm), threaded on both ends & supplied with
female threaded coupling, for its Pastoralists Food Security
Partnership Project in Oromia National Regional State, with
financial assistance from European Union, Trocaire, Cafod and
Christian Aid.
2. Bidding
will be conducted though open local tender procedure.
3. The
bid document shall be purchased from Action For development, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, P.O. Box 19859, Tel. 011-662 59 76 Or
011-618 26 65, Fax. 011-662 55 63, against payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 during office hours.
4. Interested
eligible bidder may obtain further information for Administration &
Finance Department of Action For Development, Tel. 011-662 59 76 Or
011-618 26 65, Fax. 011 662 55 63.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting 1% of the total bid
amount, in the form of bank guarantee or certified payment order
(CPO). Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.
6. All
bids must be submitted in one original marked “Original” and
one copy singed in the same way as the original and mark “Copy”
by starting the title: “Supply of galvanized steel pipes.”
The technical and financial offer must be placed together in a
sealed envelope.
7. Bid
bond should be in a separate envelope and deposit with the original
bid envelope.
8. All
bids must be submitted to the Action For Development, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, P.O. Box 19859, Tel. 011-662 59 76 Or
011-618 26 65, Fax 011-662 55 63, at or before 4:00 P.M. local time
on 10 December 2008.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/ or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on 11 December 2008 at 3:00 P.M. local time.
10. Failure
to comply with any of the conditions indicated above will result in
automatic rejection.
11. The
Organization reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
