Following are
the Pre-qualification Criteria to be eligible to compete in the
Tender:
1. The
Tenderer has to furnish the details of his Head Office and offices
including Telephone nos., e0mail address, fax and mobile nos. and
names of the persons to be contracted.
2. The
tenderer has to submit Company/Firm/Proprietary Profile.
3. The
Tender should have satisfactorily completed one work costing not
less than 80% of the amount put to tender or two works of not less
than 50% of amount put to tender of the above nature during the last
five years preferably GC-1 or GC-2)
4. The
tenderer should have average annual financial turn over of
construction work of at least 30% of contract value during last
three years ending 31st March of the previous financial
year.
5. The
tenderer should have valid Solvency certificate from any Commercial
Bank to the tune of at least 40% of the amount put to tender.
6. The
tenderer shall give the details of the works on hand (present
contract commitments).
7. The
tednerer has to furnish the details of Technical Proposal
working/associated with him. The qualification and experience of
individuals are to be mentioned.
8. The
tender should furnish details of Plant & Machinery available for
successful completion of proposed work.
9. The
tenderer should furnish copy of latest Income Tax Returns /Sales Tax
Returns for the last 3 years.
Desirous Bidders
may obtain the blank Tender Document to the address mentioned below
on payment (non-refundable) of Bid 500 Birr only as tender fee from
24 to 15/11/2008.
The filled in tender
documents will be received at the office address mentioned below up
to 25/11/2008 at 5:30 P.M.
Bid opening date 25/11/2008 at

If any
information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later
stage, he shall be liable to be debarred from tendering. The agency
reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the
applicant independently.
This Agency
reserves the right to reject any prospective application without
assigning any reason and to restrict the list of Pre-qualified
contractors to any number deemed suitable by it. If too many
applications are received satisfying the basic Pre-qualification
criteria.
