1. The
Government of FDRE has obtained a Grant from the German Financial
Cooperation (KfW) for financing the “Urban Development Fund” (UDF).
Portion of this fund has been allocated for Mekelle City
Administration, by the National Steering Committee, towards the cost
of Construction Work.
2. The
Mekelle City Administration invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, material, equipment and
services for the construction of Liquid Waste Management Project.
3. The
work mainly consists of the following components:
a)
Construction of Sludge Drying Beds, paved Drying Beds &
Storage Lagoon.
b)
Construction of Sanitary Landfill for Dry Sludge.
c)
Construction of Inner-facilities & Ancillary works.
4. Bidders
must have a valid registration certificate from Ministry of Works
and Urban Development or/and Ministry of Water Resources and must be
registered for VAT.
5. Interested

6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased against payment
of Birr 400 at Room No. 304 of the above address.
7. The
tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security amounting to Birr
100,000.00 in the form of certified cheque or Bank Guarantee.
8. Tenders
must be delivered to the address given below on or before 2:00 P.M.

9. Tenders
will be opened in the presence of bidders or their authorized
representatives who choose to attend at Mekelle Water Supply &
Sewerage Service office at 2:00 P.M. on December 01, 2008.
10. Tenders
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after tender
opening.
