International Rescue Committee, an international non-governmental
organization now invites sealed bids from qualified service
providers for supply of an Excavator fitted with Hydraulic Jack
Hammer on rental basis for excavation of House Hold Latrine Pits
(average diameter 100cm) in areas of hard formation in Sheder
Refugee Camp, Teferiber Woreda, Jijiga Zone of Somali Regional State
(around 1,800 latrine pits: LOT-I), and in My-Ayni Refugee
Camp, North Western Zone of Tigray Regional State (around 1,800
latrine pits: LOT-II). Bidders can bid for one
Lot or for both Lots.
IRC now invites
sealed bids (one original and one copy) from eligible service
providers having valid license for current Ethiopian FY 2000.
Bidding will be conducted through an open competitive tender
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the

A complete set
of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested
bidders from IRC office during working hours from
Tuesday 7th October 2008
to Tuesday 21st October 2008
at the address above and upon payment
of a non-refundable fee of ETB 100.00(One Hundred ETB). The method
of payment will be in cash and the prospective bidder shall present
his company’s name, copy of the license and sign to acknowledge
receipt of the bid documents.
All bids must be
accompanied by a bid bond of 1(one) % of the bid amount in the form
of an irrevocable Bank Guarantee or Insurance Bond and Submitted to
the International Rescue Committee at the address mentioned in
Paragraph 3 above on or before 10:30 A.M. Wednesday 22nd
October 2008. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be
opened in the presence of Bidders or their authorized
representatives at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday 22nd October
2008 at the IRC Office Conference Room, 6th Floor, TK
International building, Bole Road, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
International Rescue Committee reserves the right to reject the
whole or part of any or all bids.
