IFB Title: Supply of Hand Pumps and Spare parts
- The Amhara
National Regional
State through the Government of Ethiopia has received financing from the
world bank/DFID for the Water Supply and Sanitation Project and
intends to apply part of the funds for eligible payments under the
Contract for Procurement of Hand Pumps tender I.D. No. ARWRB.HP/0012009
for the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program in the region.
- The Regional
Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the supply of a minimum of 200 Afridev
hand pumps and spare parts. Partial Bids will be not be
acceptable.
- Bidding will
be carried through National Competitive Bidding process (NCB) as
specified in the world Banks Guidelines: Procurement under UBRD
loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible
source countries as defined in the guidelines.
- To be
qualified for contract award, supplier should have delivered at
least two contracts of similar type and quality in the last five
years, and pumps must be manufactured by companies that have
fabricated Afridev pumps for at least in annual quantities at
least three times that is to be supplied under this contract,
additional details are provided in the bidding documents.
- Bidding
documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders at
Amhara Regional Water Resources Development Bureau, Room No.03
Bahir Dar Town for a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 (Two Hundred
Ethiopian Birr) upon submission of written application. Bidders
may obtain further information at the same address.
- Bids must be
delivered to the same address mentioned above, at or before 10:00
A.M. after 20 calendar days from the first announcement of this
notice on The Ethiopian Herald. Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
- Bids will be
opened in the presence of bidders or representatives who choose to
attend in person at 10:30 A.M. at same date and place (at the
conference room). Bids will be valid for a period of one hundred
and twenty (120) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by
bid security of not less than 2% of the total bid price in
Ethiopian Birr.
- The Bureau
reserves the right to reject all or part of the bid.
