Request for the Expression of
Interest
For Consultancy Services
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association-[IDA]-towards the cost of
Public Sector Capacity Building Program, and it intends to apply
part of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments on lump sum
contract for the provision of Consulting Services.
2. The
Consultancy Services includes provision of Consulting
Services in the following areas.
Conduct study on the feasibility of
the existing judges performance appraisal framework and pilot
testing
Undertake a region wide survey to
identify factors affecting ethics of judges and impediments on
rendering effective judgments.
3. The
Oromia Capacity Building Bureau now invites all eligible Consulting
Firms to Indicate/ Express their Interest in providing the required
Consulting Services mentioned above.
4. Interested
Consultants must provide the following information to be Short
listed indicating that they are qualified to perform the
services:
a. A
brief history of the Consultant’s indicating size & turnover being
accompanied by the Consultant’s Company Profile,
b. Experience
and competency relevant to the assignment in similar conditions, to
that the Consulting Service/s that the Consultant would like to
indicate/ express its own interest.
c. Consulting
firms who will express their interest to our invitation must
submit testimonial/ experience letters from the organizations/
institutions that they have provided and/or are providing their
consulting services, pertinent to the Consulting title/s that the
consulting firm would like to express its interest,
d. Detailed
brochures, description of similar assignments that the consulting
firm has consulted in the past, and
e. The
availability of appropriate skills among staff.
5. A
consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set
out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection & Employment of
Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May 2004 Edition . Consultants
may associate to enhance their qualification.
6. Interested
Consultants must clearly write the list/ names of the
Consulting Service title/s that they would like to Indicate/ Express
their Interests, from the required list for the provision of the
Consulting Services as indicate in Number 2 above.
Accordingly, Consultants who failed to clearly write the titles of
the consulting services item by item for which they would like to
express their interests will not be considered
7. Consulting
Firms Must provide related & substantial Documents,
Experience Letter for each of the titles that they indicate their
interests. Each expression of Interests expressed without
Relevant Documents, experiences will not be considered further.
8. Interested
Consultants may obtain further information at the address below
during office hours.
9. Expression
of Interest must be delivered to the address below in 2 (Two)
copies on or before
4:00 P.M. 20 July 2009.
Expression of Interest received late will not be considered.
10. Only
short listed Consulting firms will be invited to submit the request
for Proposal.
