To all Contractors of category GC/BC
class 3 and above, with a renewed license and registration from
Regional Urban Works and Development Bureau or from Ministry of
Urban Works and Development for the year 2001 E.C.
1. The
Ethiopian Postal Service invites all eligible contractors of
category GC/BC-3 and above to under take the Construction of Branch
Offices at Yeka and Kolfe Sub City Addis Ababa.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders as of 7th July of 2009 upon payment of non-refundable fee of
Birr 850 including VAT, for each site from:

3. As
per the recent bidding process of the government for bids of
construction projects, the process will apply a two stage bidding
process (Technical Evaluation and Financial Evaluation).
4. All
clarification requests shall be submitted in a written form to the
consultant mentioned at No. 2,
5. All
bids must be accompanied by bid security of Birr 100,000 in the form
of CPO and it shall be submitted within a separate envelope.
6. Place
of bid submission will be at Ethiopian Postal Service, property and
supply division Room No. 402.
7. Closing
of bid will be at 29th of July, 2009 at 12:30 p.m.
8. Bids
will be opened at the same date third floor room No. 314 in the
presence of the bidders or their representatives at 29th July 2009
at 2:00 P.M.
9.
Bidders shall complete the
necessary details in the instruction to bidders.
10. All
competitive bidders should be VAT registered and they should submit
a copy of the following documents with the original documents of the
Technical proposal.
a.
VAT registration certificate
b. Registration
from Regional Urban Works and Development or from Ministry of Urban
Works and Development Bureau for the current year
c.
Renewed Trade license valid for the current year
11. Negligence
of not following understanding and coming with requirements of the
bid will lead to automatic disqualification
12. The
original document to be submitted to the office shall be an
original document given by the client and is should be accompanied
with a sign of the contractor or legal representatives and stamp of
the company. One copy of the original documents should be submitted.
13. Ethiopian
Postal Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids.
