Gonder Zone, Aleta Takusa Woreda, Dengelber Village Water Supply &
Sanitation Hygiene Project
1. The
government of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank
towards the cost of Water supply & Sanitation Hygiene program &
intends to apply part of the proceeds for Dengelber Villages rural
piped water supply sanitation project by National Competitive
Bidding /NCB/ under the contract RPS001/2009 terms & conditions.
2.
The client, Amharea National Regional State Water Resources
Development Bureau now invites sealed bids from qualified & eligible
bidders having grade 6 GC& above with renewed water works licenses
from the Ministry of Water Resources, renewed trade/contract
license, in land revenue for the year 2008/2009 & VAT registration
I. Construction
of 25m3 water
collection chamber
II. Construction
service reservoirs with a capacity of 25m3 reservoirs
III. Construction
of one standard generator & pump house
IV. Construction
of 6 public fountains with 6 faucets
V. Supply
& lay about 2,070 m class B, GI pipeline with necessary fittings &
valves
VI. Supply
& Installation of surface pump & Generator
VII. Protect
from flooding, fence & sanitize already tapped spring as required
VIII. Commission
& Hand Over the project to the community
3. The
location of project is in Amhara region, North Gondar Zone, Aleta
Takusa Woreda, Dengelber Villages which is at about 18km from
Shawura Town (Capital of Alefa Takusa Woreda)
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s procurement guidelines
under IDA credits/grants & open to all eligible national contractors
as defined in the guidelines.
5. The
interested contractors has to provide information, available
construction tools such as, Vibrator Mixer etc. and Vehicle
experience in similar project, available skilled, & semi skilled man
power & other relevant information as specified in the bid
document.
6. The
interested bidders will be requested to offer technical & financial
proposals separately as specified in the bid documents to be
provided. Bids shall be valid for period of 90 days after bid
opening
7. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased
directly form Amhara National Regional State Water Resources
Development Bureau, Room No. 03 Bahir Dar up on payment of a
non-refundable fee ETBN 200(Two Hundred Ethiopian Birr) from the
date of first announcement of this notice on The Ethiopian Herald in
office hours for 20 consecutive calendar days and must be delivered
at or before 10:00 A.M. after 20 calendar days from the first
announcement.
8. Bids
shall be opened in the presence of official representatives of the
bidders who wish to attend at in person at 10:30A.M. at same date at the Conference Room at the Office of Amhara National
Regional State Water Resources Development Bureau,
Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Interested applicants
may obtain further information during office hours at the same
address mentioned above.
9. The
Bureau reserves the right to accept or reject all or parts of the
bid &to annual the bidding process.
