FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF
SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS

1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Energy Access Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for procurement of Solar Home Systems.

2.      The Rural Electrification Executive Secretariat now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for procurement of: Solar Home System for Elis Electrification Cooperative at Gudisho rural Kebele in Somali Regional Government Afder zone Hargessa Wereda.

Type 1: 7Wp System # 57 Units
Type 2: 10Wp System # 90 Units
Type 3: 20 Wp System # 82 Units
Type 4: 30 Wp System # 50 Units
Type 5: 120Wp System # 20 Units
Type 6: 150Wp System # 1 Units
Total Number of Systems are 300 Units

3.      Qualifications requirements include: Domestic suppliers must attach VAT registration certificate with their offer.

4.      A complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 30.00 (Thirty Ethiopian Birr) (Monday-Friday) 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. starting from the first day of announcement though The Ethiopian Herald. Payment can be done in cash at the address below or through certified cheque on the name of the Rural Electrification Fund.

5.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 3:00 P.M. on the 30^th day of the bid announcement though The Ethiopian Herald. Electronic bidding is not allowed permit. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 3:30 P.M. local time on the 30^th day of bid announcement though The Ethiopian Herald. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid security not less than 2% of the bid price.
