1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received loan from IFAD
toward the cost of Rural Financial Intermediation Programme
(RUFIP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit
to payments under the Contract for procurement of Vehicles, &
Motorcycles.
2. The
Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) Programme Coordination and
qualified bidders for the procurement of
Lot 1. 20 units, 4WD D/C pickups
Diesel
Lot 2. 2 units, 4WD, Diesel Station
wagon
Lot 3, 49 units, Motorcycles
3. Bidders
have the option to bid for one or more lots. Bids will be evaluated
and contract awarded on a lot-by-lot basis. Bidders are required to
offer a technically responsive bid for 100% of the quantities in
each lot. Bidders who have not offered a technically responsive

will be conducted through the World Bank’s Guidelines procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Development
Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) Programme Coordination Management Unit (PCMU)
and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below on
week days from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. working hours.

6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on submission of a written Application to the
address given above & upon payment of a non-refundable US$ 25.00 or
Ethiopian Birr 200 in cash or in CPO
7. Bids
must delivered to the address below on or before May 22,2009 at 3:00
P.M. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2(Two percent) of the
total bid amount in Ethiopian Birr or a freely convertible currency.
