1. This
invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in the United Nations Development business,
issue No. WB2837-732/08 on July 16,2008
2. The
office of Kombolcha City Service has funds with in the world Bank’s
budget to be used for the procurement of Street light Expansion
project on a completion period of 180 days
3. The
office of Kombolcha City Service invites sealed bids from equipment
and services for the Street light Expansion project which comprises
civil works, Sodium light and fixture with pole and installation
works but not limited to Domestic Contractors with valid license for
the year 2001 E.C. are eligible to participate in this bid.
4. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance in accordance with the open national
tendering procedures contained in the public Procurement
proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to
all bidders from eligible source countries.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form Kombolcha
Office of City Service and inspect the bidding documents at the
address given below at (7) from 9:00 12:00 and 14:00-17:00
6. A
complete set of biding Document in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address below at (7) and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 150. The method of payment will
be in cash or cashers check. No liability will be accepted for loss
or late delivery.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at (7) at or before 14:00 on
Friday May 1,2009 . All bids must be accompanied by bank guarantee.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened at the address
below at (7) at 14:30 on Friday May 1, 2009
8. Address
