1. This
invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in United Nation Development Business, issue
No. 661dated 31 January 2006
2. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a Grant from the African
Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of Water
Supply & Sanitation projects it is intended that part of the
proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible payments under
the contract for procurement of Surveying instruments & GPS with
Accessories for Rural Water Supply program in the region.
3. The
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from

4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the office of Oromia Regional Water Resources
Bureau, Program Support Staff Office Bole Road 4th floor,
Room No. 403, P. O Box 8630, Tel 0116558374 Finfinne/ Addis Ababa.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by upon payment
of non-refundable fee of Birr 250.00 or equivalent amount in a
freely convertible currency. Local bidders are required to attach
with their application a copy of their renewed trade licenses, VAT
Certificate and Tax identification Number Certificate.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00 P.M. May 5,
2009 and shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid
opening and must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 2%
of the total bid price in the form of Bank Guarantee or C.P.O . The
Regional Water Resources Bureau, reserves the right to reject the
entire bid.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose
to attend at 2:30 P.M. May 5, 2009 at Oromia Regional Water
Resources Bureau, Conference Hall 3rd floor Bole Road,
Finfinnee/Addis Ababa
