Comprehensive Maintenance Service for Computers and other Office Equipments Procurement Reference number: S/01/NCB/OC/GE/2002EFY.

1.      The Ethiopian Roads Authority /ERA/ has allocated budget for the procurement of comprehensive Maintenance Service for Computer and other Office Equipments at its Head Office premises in Addis Ababa, Lot I: At ERA’s Head Office Main Compound and Lot II: At Other ERA’s Offices; Trade Union Building (Network management Division), Central Garage Compound, Central Warehouse Compound and some offices in Bedlu Building and Mortgage Building for one year contract. Interested bidder may submit bids for the two lots but can be awarded only one of the two.

2.     The Ethiopian Roads Authority invites eligible bidders having at least two experience, in the last 3 years, in rendering services for maintenance of computer and other office equipments which shall be similar in nature and complexity with the intended contract  with contract period of at least one year. the interested bidders shall further fulfill the following documents and submit sealed bids under the service name of Comprehensive Maintenance Service for Computers and other Office Equipments under [Explicitly mentioning for which lot the bid is submitted i.e. Lot I and/or Lot II]”

a.      In the case of Ethiopian Bidders only, its certificate of registration from Ministry of Finance and Economic development and/or Public Procurement Agency and other appropriate documentary evidence demonstrating the Bidder’s compliance, which shall include:

       i. Its valid trading license renewed for 2001 EFY;

ii.      Its Tax clearance certificate valid at submission of bids and    VAT registration Certificate.

b.      In the case of Bidders other than Ethiopians, business organization registration certificate or trading license issued by the country of establishment and any relevant professional practice certificate.

3.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and it is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from ERA and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 6(a) from 8:30 to 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday local time.

5.      A complete set of Bidding Documents prepared in English language can be purchased from the address indicated in 6(a) below upon presentation of the documents mentioned in item (2) above, non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 100 as of August 24, 2009. Method of payment shall be in cash. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address indicated in 6(b) below on or before September 24, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian Birr 3,000.00. Late bids will be rejected. Immediately after the deadline for bid submission, bids will be opened at the address indicated in 6(b) below in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend. Bidders shall seal the original and all copies of the bid in two inner envelopes and one outer envelope, duly marking the inner envelope as “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES”. Number of copies of bid to be submitted shall be one original and four copies.
