International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international
non-governmental organization working in Ethiopia for provision of
multi sector refugee and rural community assistance in Tigray,
Benishangul Gumuz, Somali, Oromia and SNNP Regional States.
The IRC now
invites sealed bid from all eligible bidders that are qualified,
technically competent and have valid license for current Ethiopian
FY 2001 to drill two boreholes in the following locations:
Borehole No. 1-Deep Borehole
Drilling in Garbille Kebele, Kebribeyah Woreda,, Jijiga Zone of
Borehole No. 2-Deep Borehole Drilling
Higlialy Kebele, Degehabour Woreda, Degehabour Zone of Somali
Bidding will be
conducted though an open competitive tender process. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form the
International Rescue Committee, TK International Building, 6th

The complete set
of bidding documents in English for the aforementioned activities
can be purchased from IRC office during working hours from Friday
August 28, 2009 to Monday September 14, 2009 at the address
mentioned above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB
50.00 (Ethiopian Birr Fifty only). The method of payment will be in
cash and the prospective bidder shall present his company’s name,
copy of the license and sing to acknowledge receipt of the bid
All bids must be accompanied by a bid
bond of 1 (one) % of the bid amount in the form of an irrevocable
Bank Guarantee or Insurance Bond and submitted to the International
Rescue Committee at the address mentioned in Paragraph 3 above on or
before 10:00 A.M Wednesday 16th September 2009. Late bids
will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence
of Bidders or their or their authorized representatives who choose
to attend at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday 16th September 2009 at
the IRC Office.
The International Rescue Committee
reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
