National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
 

1.      The SNNPR Regional State Durame Town Water Board through the government of Ethiopia has received grant from the International Development Association toward the cost of the water supply and sanitation project and it intends to apply part of funds to cover eligible payment under the contract of Durame-Civil Works.

2.      The SNNPR Regional State Durame Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Durame

Lot 1. One (1) Boreholes drilling and construction

Lot 2. Civil Works Project in Durame Town of the Kambata Tembaro Zone.

3.      Bidding will be conducted through a NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB) producer specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

4.      Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after Bid opening.

5.      Bids must be accompanied by bid security of 20,000 Birr in the form of bank guarantee or CPO and shall remain valid for 120 (One Hundred Twenty) days. Insurance bonds is not acceptable.

6.      Bidders must obtain registration for category GC6 or WC6 and above with valid license for the current year.

7.      Qualification requirement include: 1/ owner ship and/or existing lease of relevant equipment and machinery 2/ experienced in water work construction 3/ availability of relevant experience personnel as provided in the bidding document with other additional details.

8.      A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application and copies of necessary renewed license with originals from SNNP Regional State Durame Water Supply and Sewerage Service Durame Town Telephone No. 0465540111/0916831706 at or before 2:00 p.m. on 30^th days of announcement of this invitation for bid notice on The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00

9.      Bids must be delivered to the SNNP Regional State Durame Water Supply and Sewerage Service, Durame Town Tel. 046 554 01 11/ 0916831706 at or before 2:00 pm 30^th days of announcement of this invitation for bid notice on The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper.

10.  Electronic bidding will not be permitted. late bids will be rejected.

11.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ their representatives who choose to attend in person at 2:30 pm. on 30^th day of this announcement on The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper at the SNNP Regional State Durame Water Supply and Sewerage Service Durame Town. If their will be public holiday on this date, the closing and opening of the bid will take place on the next working day at the same time and the same avenue.

12.  The SNNP Regional State Durame Town Water Board reserves the right to reject all or part of the bid
