Administration Drainage
Rehabilitation Project

1. The
Oromia Regional State Adama City Administration through the
government of Ethiopia has received Grant from the International
Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Implementation of
Urban Drainage Rehabilitation project & it attends to apply part of
the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the Contract for Civil
Works, Adama City Administration Drainage Rehabilitation Project.
2. The
Adama City Administration invites sealed bids from eligible bidders
for the provision of Civil Works, Adama City Administration Drainage
Rehabilitation Project. The Construction Period is 150 calendar
days.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits & is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the guidelines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Adama City
Administration and inspect the bidding documents at the address
given below at 10(a) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from
Monday to Friday.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of written application at the
address below at 10(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of
Ethiopian Birr 300. the method of payment will be in cash or cheque
against receipt.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 10(c) at or before 12:00
a.m. on 28th day of floating this invitation for bids
notice on The Ethiopia Herald Newspaper. All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopia Birr 100,000.00 in the
form of CPO or Bank Guarantee & shall remain valid for 150 calendar
days. Insurance bond is not acceptable. Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives
who choose to attend at the address below at 10(d) at 2:30 p.m. on
28th days of announcement of this invitation for bids
notice on The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper. If the 28th day
is a holiday, the closing & opening of the bid will take place on
the next working day at the same time & the same venue.
7. Bidders
must be registration for category GC5 & above with valid license for
the current year.
8. Qualification
requirement include: (1) Experience in masonry drainage, culvert
construction and related civil works (2) ownership &/or existing
lease of relevant equipment & machinery, (3) availability of
relevant experienced personnel as provided in the bidding document
with other additional details and justification.
9. The
Adama City Administration reserves the right to reject all or part
of the bid.
