Civil Works, Supply & Installation of
Pipes & Fitting for Tepi Town Water
Supply ISI Component,
1. The
SNNP Regional State Tepi Town Water Board (TTWB) through the
Government of Ethiopia has received Grant from the International
Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Planning &
Implementation of Town Water Supply & Sanitation Improvement
Programme & it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant
to payments under the Contract for Civil Works, Supply &
Installation of Pipes & Fitting for Tepi Town Water Supply ISI
Component.
2. The
TTWB now invites sealed bids from eligible & qualified bidders for
the construction of Civil Works, Supply & Installation of Pipes &
Fittings for Tepi Town Water Supply ISI Component at Tepi Town. The
construction period is 120 calendar days.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits & is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the guidelines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from TTWB & inspect
the Bidding Documents at the address given below at Room No. 1 from
09:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. & 1:30
p.m. to 5:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application & copies of
necessary renewed licenses to the address below & upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 p.m. on 30th
days of floating of this invitation for bids notice on The Ethiopian
Herald Newspaper. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened
physically in the presence of the bidders/ representatives who
choose to attend in person at the address below at 2:30 p.m. on 30th
day of announcement of this invitation for bids notice on The
Ethiopian Herald News Paper at TTWB, Tepi Town. If the 30th
day is a holiday, the closing & opening of the bid will take place
on the next working day at the same time & the same venue.
7. All
bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of 50,000.00 in the form
of CPO or Bank Guarantee & shall remain valid for 120 days.
Insurance bond is not acceptable.
8. Bidders
must obtain registration for category WC6 or GC6 & above with valid
license for the current year.
9. Qualification
Requirement include: (1) Experience in Water Works Construction, (2)
Ownership &/or existing lease of relevant equipment & machinery, (3)
Availability of relevant experienced personnel as provided in the
bidding document with others additional details.
10. The
Tepi Town Water Board (TTWB) reserves the right to reject all or
part of the bid.
